There’s nothin’ like the joy of the Lord when it seems to be sitting right under the surface of my skin, at the corners of my mouth, in the words spilling across my lips. I like it! It’s my strength. Nothing seems too big when I’ve got joy.
My joy-level down = my faith-level down … and since us justified ones (“just-as-if-I’d” never sinned ones) live by our faith, it’d be a good idea for me to have robust faith.
NEHEMIAH 8:10 Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, FOR THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH. NIV
ROMANS 1:17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness (justification) that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous (JUSTIFIED) WILL LIVE BY FAITH.” NIV
I’m saying, “I am a justified one … just-as-if-I’d never sinned. In fact, the Justifier Himself has set up His home in me, the inner man, the hidden man of the heart. That’s who I am. That’s who lives in me. So I’m just gonna draw up from His supply in me a whole lot of joy today. I’m gonna go from joy to joy, strength to strength doing everything I see Him doing, saying everything I hear Him saying. This is gonna be a good day – He made it. I’m just gonna get happy about it. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Father. I take this. I have it, and I forgive and love as You forgive and love me. All in Jesus wonderful name.”
