He IS our Shepherd. That should be a clue that He’s gonna lead us places where we may not see what’s ahead and/or how to get there. Him being the Good Shepherd … He Knows. When I follow those impressions, gentle nudges, the “it seems good” thought that keeps floating up inside me, I’m led to the most wonderful places.
Yesterday I followed an impression to visit a 94-year-old woman who was greatly used of God in my life when I was first learning to walk with Him. It was a few hours away, and back to a town I hadn’t been since 1984. She was such a strength to me, and yesterday, God used me to pour strength back into her. Glory! It was wonderful. Made me hungry for more stuff like that 🙂
I’m saying, “Lord, I really want to be used like this more. I’m willing. I know it has to do with paying closer attention to those quiet knowings, those nudges. I’m asking You for Mercy and Grace to help me today and in the days ahead to discipline myself more and more to not only pay closer attention, but to be quicker to obey those impressions in my innards. Thank You. I take this. I have it, and I forgive just like You’ve forgiven me. All in Jesus name.”
