celebrating …

Have you ever noticed that the more attention you give something the more importance it plays in your life … thought-ways or other-ways?

I often wondered when I was younger in the Lord why God seemed so taken up with being praised. Over time I could see that the more I made of Him and all the good He does for me, the more I saw all the good He does and has for me. Magnifying something makes it the biggest thing we see; the biggest thing we think about; the biggest thing we expect.

God’s not dumb … I mean really!!! If He can get us to praise and magnify Him, we become preoccupied with Him … our vision of Him, who we are in Him and to Him gets bigger … therefore our expectancy increases … and voila! (whala!), He’s able to get more to us. Get more of His wonderful, extravagant love to us. Yup … very All-Wise God!

I’m saying, “I’m celebrating You today! I’m magnifying You! I magnifying what You’ve done and what You’re doing! I’m magnifying Your forgiveness; Your Blood; Your magnificent care of me; Your big plans for me; the way You plan to work through me to do good. Thank You for being good to me. I WILL to do good, to forgive and to love as You forgive and love me … so Mercifully. All in Jesus name.”

EPHESIANS 1:3-6    Praise be to God for giving us through Christ every possible spiritual benefit as citizens of Heaven! For consider what he has done—before the foundation of the world he chose us to become, in Christ, his holy and blameless children living within his constant care. He planned, in his purpose of love, that we should be adopted as his own children through Jesus Christ—that we might learn to praise that glorious generosity of his which has made us welcome in the everlasting love he bears towards the Son.   PHILLIPS
