always remembering the journey …

Something that I always want to keep in front of me is that the Journey of Faith in God is really a simple one.

It’s very easy to get sidetracked, for life to get complicated, but Faith in God is a Walk with God.

As I walk with Him each day, reading the Bible, talking to Him … most importantly, listening to Him, I find out more about Who He is, who I am to Him and in Him. Just hanging out with Him I start thinking, talking and acting like Him.

ROMANS 4:16-17   So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it … if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe … because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing.   NLT

Abraham didn’t even have a book to turn to. He learned about God as He hung out with God … God chose to reveal Himself to Abraham, and Abraham believed God. Abraham then did and said what God revealed.

I’m saying, “Now, I’ve got a book … the Bible. I’ve got Your Spirit in me. He’s constantly revealing You to me, how much You love me, how good You are, how forgiven I am, how innocent I am in Your sight all because of the Blood of Jesus. What’s not to believe? Thank You. I’m gonna keep on believing I receive all You have for me, saying I have it, thanking You for it, and forgiving others as You’ve forgiven me … so Mercifully. All in Jesus name.”
