There are so many terms that religious people use, and it’s like, what? Can’t they just talk normal …
But there are some terms that can only be explained and understood by going to the Bible. So here goes …
In the book of John in the Bible, chapter 3, verse 3, it says that to know God we must be “born again”.
God’s a spirit, so it goes on to say in chapter 4, verses 23-24 that God’s looking for those who’ll communicate with Him truly spirit to spirit.
Even though every one of us of the human race is a spirit living in a body (our earth suit) and have a soul (mind, will and emotions), this does not automatically give us free access and intimate communication with God.
We’re first born into this earth’s realm as a baby – a human resident of earth perfectly equipped to live in this earth’s realm.
As a human – a spirit living in a body with a soul, we were originally created to perfectly communicate with our Creator God, but an event happened that caused us as the human race (spirit beings in earth suits) to become contaminated. That contamination is called sin. It caused a separation between our God and us. The only resolution is, as a spirit, to experience being recreated … a re-birth … to be “born again” … so we can have free access once again to our Creator Father God; to have free access to God and all His realm.
“But to all who believed him (Jesus) and accepted him (Jesus), he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.” JOHN 1:12-13
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” ROMANS 10:13
